Many of the MCC's member clubs have regular fundraising days for charitable causes.

Motorcycle Accident Rehabilitation Initiative (MARI)
St Vincent's Hospital has established an identification and rehabilitation initiative for riders injured in motorcycle accidents who present to the Hospital's Emergency Department.
The program, referred to as MARI (Motorcycle Accident Rehabilitation Initiative), has been enabled by a $30,000 donation from George and Charis Schwarz following the successful sale of their photographic journal Highlights of the Road.
The MARI fund, established with George and Charis' donation, will finance a number rehabilitation packages for riders who do not have access local hospital or community support following an accident or who require more rehabilitation than previously offered.

The Blood Challenge
The Australian Red Cross Blood Service is the national organisation responsible for the provision of quality blood products, tissues and related services Australia-wide. They collect, screen, process and distribute the blood generously donated. They operate on the principle that blood donated by voluntary donors should be freely available to all who need it.
Motorcyclists versus Police is an annual competition to see who donates the most blood. The challenge results in the largest group donation of blood in NSW. Any rider can join and you don't have to be a member of a club. Just tell the Red Cross you are part of the Challenge when you donate.
Snowy Ride
Children's Cancer Institute Australia for Medical Research (CCIA) is the only independent medical research institute in Australia dedicated to research into the causes, cure and prevention of childhood cancer
The Snowy Ride is a motorcycle event run annually in the Alpine Region of NSW and the ride is now in it's fifth year. The number of riders is now over 8000 in total, and the money raised is almost eight hundred thousand dollars.
All monies raised by the Steven Walter Fund (which is the organiser and main benefactor of the Snowy Ride) go directly to The Children's Cancer Institute Australia and all funds are directed into research.
Pink Ribbon Ride
The pink ribbon is the symbol of support for the many people who have been affected by breast cancer globally.
In NSW breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer in females, with three times the incidence of any other cancer. More than 14,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia each year.
One in nine women in NSW will develop breast cancer before the age of 85.
The Pink Ribbon Motorcycle Ride raises awareness and funds for the NSW Cancer Council to defeat breast cancer . The Cancer Council's mission is to defeat cancer and they see research as playing a vital role. This year they have added ten new projects to their vibrant external grants portfolio and will continue to expand this internal research program. Bringing promising research out of the lab and into treatment centres is another important priority and their commitment to clinical trials continue to grow.
They are confident that funding quality research and researchers today will produce the breakthroughs needed to ensure ongoing improvements in preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.
In 2009, The Cancer Council NSW is spending $14 million on internal and external research including a number of interstate and international collaborations.
Organised by Girls Ride Out Inc as part of National Breast Cancer month and Motorcycle Awareness Week, the Pink Ribbon Ride raises approximately $25,000 for donation to The NSW Cancer Council each year for their breast cancer projects.
MS Sydney to the Gong Bike Ride
The Multiple Sclerosis Society of New South Wales's mission is to give hope to people with MS and their families by:
Promoting independent living and health for people with MS
Informing, educating and fostering rights for people with MS
Promoting research into the management of MS, and
Contributing to research into a cure for MS
Oroadsports supports the MS Society's Sydney to Gong Bicycle Rideby volunteering members and their bikes as motorcycle marshals each year.
Racing 4 MS is another rider intiative to support the MS Society. The goal of Racing 4 MS is to raise at least AU$20,000 for the MS Society this year.
Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service - Harleys for Helicopters
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) is an aeromedical search and rescue service and commenced operations in 1975 in Newcastle and started operating from Tamworth in 2000.
A group of Newcastle Harley riders conduct Harleys for Helicopters - a charity ride in NSW to raise money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. The 2005 BLADES OF THUNDER RUN for Harleys for Helicopters and Friends travelled approximately 2,300 kilometres around New South Wales and was open to any motorcyclist, not just Harley-Davidson riders.
Kings Cross Bikers
The Kings Cross Bikers Social And Welfare Club are a charity group who dedicate their free time to assisting Disabled Kids, Adults, Elderly, Schools, Hospitals and anyone who requires assistance.
Sydney Children's Hospital
The mission of the Sydney Children's Hospital is to provide high quality, comprehensive services to our local communities and tertiary referral services to the children of New South Wales and beyond.
The Kobbers Kruiser Klub are a social club of Japanese or European cruiser riders that holds an annual Easter Egg run in support of the Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick.
The Children's Hospital at Westmead
The Children's Hospital at Westmead's mission is to constantly challenge the existing boundaries in paediatrics and child health by leading change and striving for excellence in clinical care, research, teaching and advocacy.
Oroadsports supports The Children's Hospital at Westmead with all monies raised from the members Quit Smoking Challenge.
Arthritis Association
The Arthritis Foundation of NSW has the following objectives:
To fund research into the causes and cures of arthritis.
To educate medical and health professionals in the treatment of arthritis.
To promote community awareness of the problems confronting people with arthritis.
To provide support, advice and information for those with arthritis and their families.
The Ulysses Club supports the Arthritis Association and donates about $75,000 a year. Ulysses also support many other charities both state and national.
Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is an a ministry motivated by the love for God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in his name without discrimination.
Each year Bikers Australia coordinates an annual Toy Run collecting toys, gifts and funds which are then donated to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
Burnside Children's Home
Burnside Presbyerian Orphan Home also known as the Burnside Children's Home is one of the largest orphan homes in Australia.
Each year Bikers Australia coordinates an The Burnside Childrens Home Toy Run with all gifts donated to the Burnside Childrens Home.
Homeless Persons' Week - Bikers' Blanket Run
Homeless Persons' Week is an initiative by the Parramatta City Council to encourage the larger community to think about the issue of homelessness and provide homeless people with the opportunity to feel they belong and are accepted by the Community. Homeless Persons' Week includes a number of activities such as a the Bikers' Blanket Run which starts in Church Street Mall, Parramatta and is supported by Bikers Australia.
Bombala Local Hospital
For the past 14 years the Bombala Motorcycle Association has run a motorcycle show, the proceeds go to the local hospital.
Mission Australia
Mission Australia aims to empower disadvantaged and isolated individuals, families and communities by giving them the support they need to get back on track, and lead more fulfilling lives.
Girls Ride Out raise money for Mission Australia at the majority of events they hold. Recent fund raising events for Mission Australia include the Sydney Motorcycle Show Display and the Winter Sleepout Ride.
Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia
This mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia is to provide the delivery of a range of cost-effective and quality aeromedical and other health services integrated with other providers in rural and remote Australia.
The BMW Touring Club of NSW supports the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia with an annual donation.
Moorong Spinal Injury Unit of the Royal Rehabilitation Centre
The Moorong Spinal Injury Unit is a part of The Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney which works in partnership with clients to maximise abilities and optimise lifeskills following injury or illness, offers specialist rehabilitation and disability programs for adults who have sustained spinal cord injury, brain injury, orthopaedic injury and illness, age related illness, burns, cancer, multi-trauma and other conditions.
Motor vehicle accidents are the most frequent cause of spinal cord injury. The Ducati Owners Club of NSW have run the Thunder Rally for 22 years the proceeds of which go to the Moorong Spinal Unit. Click HERE to download the Thunder Rally Form.

Corners For Kids Motorcycle Rally (C4K)
In March motorcycle riders from across the financial services industry celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Corners for Kids Motorcycle Rally (C4K) in Tasmania to support the Inspire Foundation's ReachOut! program which aims to prevent youth suicide by using the internet to reach young people at risk. This year's ride raised $52,000 for the program.
