“The activities planned endeavour to raise the profile of the motorcycle community and improve the safety of riders”

A considerable number of events were planned and conducted from 22 to 30 October 2005 in an effort to raise awareness of motorcycles and motorcyclists. They included:
- Motorcycle Display on Pyrmont Bridge – Saturday October 22
- Newcastle Pink Ribbon Ride – Saturday October 22
- Pink Ribbon Ride – Sunday October 23
- Ride to Work Day – Wednesday October 26
- Reece Bancell Dinner – Friday October 28
- Macquarie Pass Safety Day – Saturday October 29

Riders were asked to support as many of the events as possible in a Show of Strength. This was supported by RTA electronic signs advertising Motorcycle Awareness Week, Four (4) Motorcycle Awareness Week Bridge Banners hung on bridges along the M4, the RTA blind spotted TV campaign and City of Sydney Council promoting the Pyrmont Bridge Motorcycle Display.
