Our needs as riders are rarely considered by those drafting legislation, changing regulations or implementing road safety campaigns. If we don’t work to maintaining and improving legislation, regulation and campaigns, you will find that united we ride, divided we walk. Politicians and bureaucrats take notice of organisations that have large membership and wide representation. The more trail riding clubs and ride groups the MCC represents, the more attention trail riders will receive.
While the MCC’s main activities have been for on road riders, the MCC has recently revitalised its trail riding sub-Committee which is actively promoting trail riding as a legitimate and sustainable recreational activity which has health and economic benefits. Visit www.trailriders.mccofnsw.org.au for a comprehensive view into our actions benefitting trailriders.
