Organised by the Motorcycle Council of NSW (MCC of NSW), every October is Motorcycle Awareness Month (MAM). This month is used as a celebration of motorcycling and for drivers to #lookoutformotorcycles .
Each year, several awareness campaigns are used to educate drivers how they can watch out for motorcycles on the road.
The MCC of NSW also organises rides and activities to get riders and their love of motorcycling together.

Breakfast Torque
A motorcycle event for Riders by Riders.
Bringing the motorcycling community together to highlight and promote motorcycle awareness and safety.
This is a free event on Sunday 27th October 2024 at Heathcote Oval, and all riders receive a complimentary breakfast starting at 8am.
There will be stalls, food trucks, stage presentations, live crash scene simulations, prize draws & much more.

Targeting young drivers
The MCC of NSW will be advertising on Spotify throughout the month of October.
The ads will be heard through Spotify’s music and podcasts to younger drivers as their in-car listening habits are different.
They will provide easy tips to help drivers be more aware and look twice for motorcycles.
Regional radio advertising
The MCC Of NSW will also be running radio ads in regional NSW throughout October 2023.
