On now until Feb 28, 2009
The Summer Blood Challenge is an annual competition between the Police Force and Motorcyclists across NSW and the ACT, in which each team and their supporters see who can make the most blood donations during the Summer months.
The competition is now in its 17th year and since it started in 1992 it has collected over 35,000 blood donations. As every donation can save up to three lives, this friendly rivalry has helped 105,000 Australians.
This year the competition ran from 1st of December to 28th of February 2009. As at Feb 12 the 2008/09 Summer Blood Challenge donation tally sat at:
Police: 4850 Donations
Motorcyclists: 3940 Donations
Total: 8790 Donations
Well done everyone!!
We’re breathlessly anticipating the final result and will let you know who won shortly.
